We are an association of Coast Guard actives, retirees and others who served with the Coast Guard in Alaska who, for the purpose of comradeship, join together at reunions to further the history of the Coast Guard in the Bering Sea and Alaska. We were formed in 1975 by a group of "Bering Sea Patrol" veterans who sailed in "Patrol Cutters" in the 1920's and 1930's.
Our association is open to retired or former members of the U. S. Coast Guard who served on active duty in Alaska (17th Coast Guard District) for a continuous period of twenty-one (21) days and/or those who qualify to wear the Coast Guard Arctic Service Medal as a result of duties in Alaskan waters. Presently we have about 300 members and annual dues are $20.00.
